1) What is the difference between a test and a diploma?

  • TCF / TEF: language level tests (often used for procedures).

  • DELF/DALF: official diplomas by level (A1 to C2), usually valid for life.

  • DFP: professional French diploma, focused on workplace communication.

2) Which one is the best?

There is no “best”. There is the one that fits your goal:

  • Procedures/requirements: often TCF/TEF

  • Studies/university: often DELF/DALF

  • Work/career: DFP

3) How long do I need to prepare?

  • Strong base: 2–4 weeks

  • Intermediate: 1–2 months
